MaryAnn Ederhoff
MaryAnn Ederhoff, 81, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her children, after a lengthy battle with lung disease. She was born on September 18, 1943, in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Edward and Viola Mauer. MaryAnn is survived by her daughter Teresia Savage (Thomas); sons, Damian Ederhoff (Sandy) and Kurt Ederhoff, and one sister, Denise Burchfield; grandchildren, TJ Savage, Shaina Vassau, Sydney Thomsen, Spencer Ederhoff, Preston Ederhoff, Cameron Ederhoff, Emery Ederhoff, Oliver Ederhoff; great grandchildren, Remi and Case Vassau, Theodore and Tehl Thomsen; and numerous family members and friends.
MaryAnn graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1961. After she married on October 14, 1961, she moved to El Paso, Texas where her husband served in the Army. All three of their children were born in El Paso. They also lived in Blaine, Minnesota; Spearfish, South Dakota and Houston, Texas. MaryAnn had a successful career as a human resources labor relations specialist with the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs and enjoyed a long retirement in Houston. Her favorite pastime was attending sporting and school events for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed activities and travels with friends or her church widow’s group. She had a quiet, deep faith and prayer life as a devout Catholic. Her favorite sound was the laughter of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Lowell Thomas Ederhoff, who passed in February 1999; her parents, father and mother in-law Lee and Frances Ederhoff, her brother Darrel Mauer, and two sisters, Darlene Bechtell and Diane Baxter.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with Rosary at 10:00 AM and Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, Texas, 77062. She will be buried with her husband on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 10:45 AM at Houston National Cemetery.
