Mary Vail Tolman Rigler (1932 – 2018)
Mary Vail Tolman Rigler, born July 11, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York to Albert W. Tolman and Helen Louise Nichols Tolman and passed away November 9, 2018 in Pearland, Texas.
Mary grew up in New York, Maine, Houston and attended University of Houston. She was a school teacher in Lake Charles, Louisiana teaching special education. She was quite active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, the local Imperial Calcasieu Museum and in many geneology societies providing records research helping others trace their lineage. Mary retired in Lake Charles,LA but moved to Natchitoches, LA during huricane Rita and finally settled in Pearland, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald T Rigler and by son Douglas Rigler and grandson James Verret.
Mary is survived by children, Kathleen Premeaux of Lake Charles, LA; Alan Rigler of Richmond, TX; Walter Rigler of Pearland, TX, John Rigler of Grapevine, TX along with 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Mary’s surviving sibling are one sister Debbie Haliday of Fredericksburg , VA.
The family has plans for a cremation and a private family gathering for a final resting home in Lake Charles.
