Mary Frances Fernandez, 87, of Pearland, Texas, passed away in her sleep on February 24, 2025. She was born on August 25, 1937 to Minnie and Earl McGowan in Jackson, Mississippi. Mary’s life included raising her family alongside a working career in management and administration in the food industry. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Minnie and Earl McGowan, her husband Leroy (Les) Fernandez and her granddaughter Mary Irene Morgan. Mary Frances is survived by her seven children; Cindy Ann Morgan, James Walton McKellar and his wife Sofia, Charles Lindley McKellar Jr., Linda Carol Mayeaux, David McKellar, Marilyn Lea Montano and her husband Jesse, and Katheryn Lynn McKellar. She has 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  A visitation will be on Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St. Pearland, TX 77581. A Christian memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. at the same location. Mary’s burial will follow on Tuesday, the same day at Houston National Cemetery.
