  4. Mrs Miles was my choir instructor at Clear Creek Independent School District. I have never forgot her I loved her so much and I graduated numerous years ago in th 80s so when I saw the name I was completely surprised! She was probably one of my very favorite teachers at High School. God bless her family, she was one of a kind!

  6. Mrs Miles was an influential person in my life. I first met her when I was in fifth grade and she was directing the choir and Ellington Air Force Base chapel for the Protestant services there. I would go and sit at practice because my mom sang in the choir. I used to sing along while they practiced. One practice she asked me to join the choir so I began singing. I continued at Ellington singing and much to my surprise when I got to 7th grade at Webster Intermediate Mrs Miles was the choir director there. I enjoyed another two years in her direction and joined the choir at Clear Creek HS because of her. I continued under her direction until 1976 when Congress shut down Ellington but I visited her many times. My mother gave me my love for music, Mrs Miles nurtured and hone my passion for music that sting lives on today. Music never fails to make my life brighter, more serene and more sane. I thank Mrs Miles for that. Most people in life wonder if they made a difference, did their life life mean something? Mrs Miles certainly rest easy, for she touched thousands of lives and blessed them for the better. We got to enjoy her talents daily while she was here and we continue to enjoy her influence and encouragement after she is gone. Bless you Mrs Miles we love you and thank you.

  7. Mrs Miles fostered a love of music. I was lucky enough to have her at webster Elementary, then she moved to the Intermediate the same year as my class. I was lucky enough to have her for another 3 years. During High School, I would often stop by to say hello and she always greeted me with a smile. Many fond memories that will not be tarnished by her loss, as her love of music, of children, of family lives on.

  10. I loved Mrs. Miles. She was an inspiration and I still remember her advice about breathing and annunciation of words. To my children’s constant delight I still sing some of the songs I learned in the performances. Heaven has gained an outstanding music teacher!

  12. We are so saddened by the passing of our sweet friend, Clydene! She was such a light in our lives and there is no doubt she is in heaven rejoicing that she is home. I can imagine her leading a choir in the heavenly realms … oh how she loved hearing our church choir sing each Sunday. Yes, she has left a void in our lives but we know we will see hear again one day.

  13. Mrs Miles was my choir director when I was at Webster Intermediate back in the early 80’s. Her love of music and the way she made us appreciate it as well has never been forgotten. What an inspiration she was to all. I still cherish every album we made during the CCISD Spring Festival, 2 of those years being with her. My love of music and my love of singing, I credit her for it. I can only imagine the choir rehearsals that will be going on in Heaven. To her family, may you find peace, and know that she touched the lives of so many. Until we meet again.
