Martha Marie Monych, 95 of Friendswood passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 in Webster, Texas.  She was born in Galveston, Texas on April 23, 1929 to Mitchell and Merle Oleson.

Martha’s life was one of profound strength and resilience. She worked at an Insurance Company, Telephone Company, Social Security Administration, Otolaryngology, Shriners and was an Administrative Assistant to the President of UTMB.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Charles Long and second husband Michael Monych.  Martha is survived by her daughter Brenda Kerr, granddaughter Christina Kerr, ex-son-in-law Robert Kerr, her three nephews; Chris Melson (Monica), Stephen Melson,  and Christopher Melson, II, (Leah) and many other beloved relatives.

A graveside service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson with Rev. Bill Cole officiating.
