Mark Steven Horridge
Mark Steven Horridge was born in Texas City, Texas on August 7, 1962. He is survived by his mother and father, Sue and Art Horridge, his older brother Alan Horridge with his wife Amy and daughter Ashley. His younger sister Kim Lendman, with her husband Rick, daughter Callie and son, Hunter. As well as numerous extended families including Brenda, Stacy and Robert Pace, Sally, Raymond, Missy and Quentin Epler, Michael and David Casalini. Mark also leaves behind many friends who he loved and admired.
Mark grew up in Clear Lake City, Texas and attended Clear Lake High School where he participated in track and played several positions, including quarterback, for the Falcon football team. After graduating in 1980, Mark followed his father’s footsteps and began selling cars. A desk job wasn’t really ideal for Mark and he began to work as a Boilermaker at various plants across the state.
Mark was loved by everyone who met him and adored by children and animals. He had a way of making everyone feel special and loved. Everyone could feel his energy that illuminated everywhere he was present. He will be missed!
I am truly sorry for your loss. God rest his soul.
I’ll always remember Mark, my first love, his wonderful smile, his sweet, loving, caring way with me. I have funny and sweet letters he wrote to me in the summer after 7th grade when I was at camp. I remember football games, eighth-grade dance, and Homecoming – a fun double date when we were freshmen with Alan and his date – driving into Houston for dinner. My love and memories of Mark will live in my heart forever. My heart aches and is filled with sorrow and I know yours does too.
I’m praying that the light of God’s face shines on you in the darkness of your grief.
Thank you Gaylynn, he loved you dearly! Hugs and prayers to your family.
Nicest here condolences to the family of Mark. I only know his brother though Allen Hoards for many years. God bless our family throughout the troubling times and maybe find peace and comfort knowing that Mark is with angels.
Apologize for the typos in my previous message. I only knew Alan Horridge. But I still pray for comfort for the family during this difficult time.
