Marjorie “Nanny” Elizabeth Tillis, 87, of League City passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Webster, Texas.  She was born April 10, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Florence Ward, her husband Arson Tillis; sister Gloria Cortez, and brothers Kenneth Ward and Ronald Ward.

She is survived by her three daughters Darcy Heaney and husband Kevin, Sandra Mooney and Doreen Mooney; three sons Herbert Covert Jr., Barry Mooney and Jeffrey Mooney; brother John Ward; her 2 grandchildren Chad Israel and wife Danielle, and Sheena Sager and husband Keith; 5 great grandchildren Hayley, McKenzie, Calyn, Brock, and Cole; and her boyfriend Raymond Terrazas.

Nanny was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family and God above all else.  She enjoyed a good game of bingo and spoiling her great grandchildren.  She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas with Pastor Ben Donnelly officiating.
