On March 7th, 2024, Maria Amelita Faustino Saguin passed away. She was 68 years old.

Maria Amelita Saguin is survived by her Husband Adolfo Saguin; Daughters Franchette Rose and Christellia Melfeu; Son Yashua Justine; Sister Rosalia Camins; Brother Archie Faustino; and Grandchild Dawson Jones. She was preceded in death by her Parents Agripino Faustino Sr. and Justina Filoteo; Brothers Antonio and Agripino Jr.

Maria was born on April 13th, 1955 in Zamboanga City, Philippines. She graduated from PAX in 1969. She went on to attend Nursing School at Medina School of Nursing and Midwifery, graduating in 1973 and Ateneo de Zamboanga University, graduating in 1991. She spent 39 years of her career helping and caring for women in her community as a Midwife. Maria married Adolfo on June 3rd, 1978, they welcomed their children Franchette, Christellia, and Yashua into their lives. Maria is known by friends, family, and patients as a loving mother, an amazing cook, and a great friend.

A visitation for Maria Amelita Faustino Saguin is scheduled for Friday, March 15th, 2024 at 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. and a service to begin at 6 p.m. in the chapel Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway Pearland, TX, 77581.

A burial ceremony is scheduled on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Houston Memorial Gardens 2426 Cullen Blvd Pearland, Texas 77581. Please join us in celebration of Maria’s life.
