Manuel Vasquez, Jr., 62, of Texas City, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born July 31, 1954, in Gonzales, Texas, to Luisa and Manuel Vasquez, Sr. Manuel proudly served as a United States Marine and was very patriotic and put his flag up every day. He was retired from BP/Amoco and Magellan. He has been a resident of Texas City for the last nine years, formerly of Alvin, Texas and Carlsbad, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Manuel is survived by his wife RoseMary C. Vasquez; two daughters: Merretta Kincaid and husband Casey, and Monica R. L. Vasquez; two sons: Apoloneo Carlos Vasquez and wife Chassity and Manuel JR Vasquez; ten grandchildren: Lauren Hooper, Hailey Smitley, Jay Vasquez, Devin Kincaid, Amelia Kincaid, Michael Grooms, Jr., Janessa Grooms, Vanessa Grooms, Celecte Vasquez, and Saige Mobbley; one great grandchild: Brycen Cash, three sisters: Romona Scott, Francis Hernandez and Maria Mercedes Scott, four brothers: Guadalupe H. Garcia, Sr., John Hernandez, Alego (Alex) Vasquez and Pablo Vasquez and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, June 1, 2017, at James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
