Maisie Suregdaye Ramlalsingh Sukal passed away peacefully on Sunday December 29th, 2024 in Clear Lake, Texas at the age of 82. She was born in Trinidad on March 31st, 1942 to John Gordon and Parbatee Ramlalsingh.

Maisie was a kind, giving and loving Mother, Wife, Sister, Grandmother, Auntie, and true friend to many.

Maisie grew up in Trinidad and moved to New York in 1989. In 2004, she moved to California and most recently, in 2024, she moved to Texas. 

Professionally, Maisie was a Bookkeeper In Trinidad and then became a Health-aide in New York.

She loved life and expressed that love through food where her meals always brought the family together. She had those magical hands that made every meal special and tasty. 

Maisie had a passionate green-thumb and cherished the plants she raised. She had an extensive wordly artistic elephant collection as well. She loved animals, especially dogs which she had 22 of them at one point. She loved to sew as well and made beautiful clothes and throws. 

Maisie is survived by her ex-husband, Franklyn, their children, Marlon, Adrian and Yolande; and their grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel, Joseph, Isabella, Sienna and Isaac; and her sister, Barbara Hamid.

Even at only 5 ft tall, Maisie had a larger-than-life personality, strength, warmth and love for those around her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Thursday January 2nd, 2025 at 12pm at Crowder Funeral Home in League City, Texas, where a celebration of Maisie’s life will take place. She requested a colorful atmosphere with no black attire.
