Lt. Col. Walter Wayne Huehlefeld (USAF, ret)
Lt. Col. Walter Wayne Huehlefeld (USAF, ret), of League City, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016, in Webster, Texas at the age of 75. He was born on October 26, 1940, in Sweet Home Texas to Carl and Marie Huehlefeld. Walter was preceded in death by his wife Judith and son in law Francis Racz. He is survived by his daughter Amy Racz, sister Patricia Barfield and husband Barney, grandchildren Ryan Jacobsen, Michael Riley, Justin Riley, great grandchild Lawrence Jacobsen and many other loving family and friends. The Family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 4:30pm with a Memorial Service at 5:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main St., League City, Texas 77573.
I am sorry to hear about Walt’s passing. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all that knew him. The kids and I were quite fond of our former neighbor, “Mr. Walt.” We use to sit outside and visit while he enjoyed a beer or an ice cream cone. Loved listening to his stories and he will forever live in our hearts. RIP Walt!

I knew Walt during his & my career with the 147th..I along with his entire unit thought very highly of him..He will be missed by family and his many friends..Walt is residing in Heaven now, no pain and completely healed..Wish I could make his service, but health limits me being there..
