Louise Karen (Deichman) Evans, of League City, Texas, passed away at home on February 7, 2014 at the age of 73. She was born on April 29, 1940 in Winfield, Kansas to John and Kathryn (Krug) Deichman. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She was a retired Accountant from Baylor College of Medicine and assisted in supporting the early days of Skylab with a NASA contractor. She loved singing in her church choir and playing in the hand bell choir. She enjoyed being with her friends at her knitting group each week. She was a loving and devoted Mother and “Oma” to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Kathryn Deichman; Gene, her husband of 37 years; and sisters Lavona Dyck and Leora Stanley. Louise is survived by her daughter Laresa Evans, sons Bradley Evans and wife Yvonne, Mark Evans and wife Anita, grandchildren Emily, Benjamin, Kathryn and Noah Evans and many other loving family and friends. The Family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 6-8:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will follow on Tuesday at 11am at Taylor Lake Christian Church, 1730 Old Kirby Rd, Seabrook, TX 77586. Interment will take place at 2:30pm at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
