Lorine Delanoix Anderson
Lorine Delanoix Anderson, 55, of Santa Fe formerly of Texas City passed from this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. Lorine was born January 15, 1962 in Texas City, Texas to Joseph Emile and Norine Agnes Delanoix. Adoptive mother to any and all children and animals in need, Lorine was best known for her Cajun-spiced cooking, accounting skills and tax acumen.
Besides mansions and streets of gold, welcoming Lorine home was her mother Norine and father Joe, grandmother Jimmie Dupuy, mother-in-law Luciele Anderson, brother Ronnie Delanoix, brother-in-law Gary Whaley, and her most beloved animals Buddy, Foxie, and BooBoo.
Lorine is survived by her husband Patrick Anderson of Santa Fe; son Ian Anderson of Webster; daughter and family Emilee and Christian McGhee and expected granddaughter Rylee Paige of Webster; brother Ralph and Sharon Delanoix; their daughters, Rachel Delanoix, and Catherine and Cresendo Delanoix and daughter River; sister, Jimmie Delanoix Whaley and Jody Mitchell; niece Mandy and Mike Billiott; their children Brittany Jones and daughter Ellie, Dylan Billiott and daughter Sophia, and Devyn Billiott; and numerous extended family and friends.
A private memorial celebrating Lorine’s life and spirit will be held later for the family.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical teams and healthcare professionals involved in Lorine’s care, particularly Dr. Lena Bruce and her staff, various doctors, nurses, and staff, Memorial Hermann Home Health Services, Santa Fe EMS and police department, and the ER and ICU at Mainland Medical Center. The good fight was fought well.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation, Diabetes Foundation, ASPCA, or charity of your choice.
I went to school with Lorine. She was a wonderful, kind person with a smile for everyone.
