  3. I was privileged to have LD as a teacher for 3 years. She was so much more than a teacher, she was a mentor, role model and friend. She truly cared about each and every one of her students. She was one of a kind and will be missed.

  7. I met Linda when I went to listen to a Celtic band play at local pub. Being an introvert, I had gone early to ensure that I could get a table to myself and I was reading a book after dinner waiting for the band to start. Linda and Dan came and asked if they could sit with me and, not wanting to be rude, I said something along the lines of “Of course.”
I think that Linda knew that this made me uncomfortable and went out of her way to make it as comfortable as possible. For the next couple of years (while I was still living in Texas), I took every opportunity to spend time with them; sitting with them at the pub, meeting up with them at the Highland Games, joining a book club, etc.
Good people find good people. I am so glad that I found Linda during my time in Texas.

  9. My heart is broken at the loss of my dearest friend and confidante. I first met Linda and Dan when they came to watch our Celtic band and we soon became good friends. They would follow us around Tx., where-ever we performed and were our staunchest supporters. We were a close four-some and we had wonderful times together, full of fun and laughter. Even when we left Tx, to come back to Canada we remained very close, especially through Dan’s illness and his passing. Linda was a great support and inspiration to me when my own husband, Grant, died last year. And now I am the only one left of our foursome but I know we shall be together again some day and we’ll make music together. God bless you Linda, wonderful lady, devoted friend who cared for so many.
Blessing, love and prayers for Deanna, Chris, Daniel, Cassie and her beloved grand-daughter, Elizabeth.

  10. Linda was my neighbor since 2021! The house was always bright, welcoming! One of the neatest in our neighborhood, grass always cut, yard always clean, quiet and very respectful to other’s! She loved her dogs and made sure that they did walk daily and stayed in good heath, and later rescued a cat who was suddenly homeless! Linda was kind , responsible , caring , organized & loving human being! I’m honored of her presence all those years that made living beside her very very pleasant! The Last 2 months it was very hard to get out of the house in the morning and see her house lights were off! I miss her terribly! But as long as I’m alive I will keep her memory in my heart! I wish her children and extended family at this moment peace and comfort!
