Linda Dorothy Williams
Linda Dorothy Williams, 75, passed away on August 28th 2021 in Webster, Texas. She was born on August 20th 1946 in Duluth, Minnesota to Donald and Dorothy McNally. Lyn is survived by her brother Russ, sisters Marie and Donna, and her nephew and caretaker James Long, as well as other family members and devoted friends.
After many different jobs that took her around the United States of America, Lyn decided to settle down in Texas near her sister Karen and do her best to help her raise her newborn son James. After a few years Lyn became a certified Medical Coder and immediately began a career at UTMB working in the Revenue Cycle Operations department. She liked to describe it as detective work in that finding the appropriate code for a given encounter was imperative to the patient’s care and financial well being. A job away from the eyes of the public Lyn enjoyed her work immensely and worked until she no longer could. She was a loyal and dedicated friend who enjoyed going out in her younger days, creating event cards, gossiping with work friends and having as much fun as possible. Lyn imparted much of her wisdom from traveling the states upon her young nephew James and eventually became more like a second mother than an aunt to him. A bright personality, sharp wit, and easy going Lyn is sorely missed by those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation in Lyn’s memory may do so to James Long at 100 W Texas Ave Apt. 1016 in Webster, Texas 77598.
I love you Lyn, my dear friend.
