Linda Cheryl Skaggs, 81, of Pearland TX passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2024. Her battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, she remained full of strength, grace, love and laughter until the very end. She was an incredibly caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Linda was born to Armadell and Alfred Wehmeyer on October 10th, 1943 in Houston, Texas. After graduating from South Houston High School, she met her future husband, John, in a store parking lot in South Houston. They were married and made their home in Houston and later Pearland, TX. Together, they had two children: Michael and Diana.
Linda retired from the corporate world as a Tax Supervisor for Litton Mortgage. Once retired, she fully enjoyed being a mee-mee and a loyal travel companion to her husband throughout his jobs in the Oil & Gas Energy field. Linda was full of love and others were drawn to her.

She had an amazing presence and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years John Skaggs; her daughter Diana Herthneck; her grandchildren Tracy Nicole Cogburn and husband Brandon, Evan Nicole Herthneck; her great grandchildren Bryson and Addison; her sister Diane Motley and husband Jeff; her nephew Travis Motley and wife Catherine; and nieces Catherine
Skaggs Mossier, Cheryl Skaggs Lawrence, and Cindy Skaggs Greer.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Armadell and Alfred Wehmeyer; her son Michael Skaggs; and her brother A.L. Wehmeyer.

A visitation is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday October 25, 2024 at
Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St., Pearland, TX 7758, with a funeral
service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
