Lee Doyle Oden
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lee Doyle Oden, 83 of League City, Texas. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 21st, 2025, at his home in League City, Texas. He was born on September 24, 1941, to parents June and Doyle Oden in Cherokee County, Texas.
Lee worked as a Senior Lead Instrument Designer for 45 years. He retired in 2015. He graduated from Temple High School, Temple, Texas in 1960.
He was an avid hunter, loved wood working, race car driving. He also helped cub scouts build and race their pine wood derby cars. There wasn’t hobby he wouldn’t try at least once. He traveled across the country and even went to Northern Europe. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents June and Doyle Oden; brother Chuck Oden; son Casey Montgomery, and Son in Law Ron Seay.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory, his loving wife and companion of thirty-seven years, Nancy Dismuke Oden; Brother: Lynn Oden and wife Kathy; daughters, Lisa Seay, Renee Bushey (husband) Jeffrey, Mimi Montgomery; Erika Asiala Montgomery (husband) Chuck and sons: Christopher Oden and Chad Oden. Grandchildren: Garrett Brown, Austin Seay (wife) Taylor, Jonathan Quick (wife) Rebecca, Corbin Quick, Lawson Montgomery, Reagan Montgomery (fiancée) Marcos Bueso and Laney Montgomery, Marshall Oden and Greysen Oden; Great Grand Children – Tala Quick, Kailii Westmoreland, Cason Bushey, Samuel Bushey, Harper Bushey, Branden Bushey, Brooklynn Foster and Briley Foster; Lifelong friends John Boelsche and Jack Sewell, numerous nephews, cousins and friends.
Lee will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
The Memorial services will be held March 02, 2025, at 2:00 pm with visitation starting at 1:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 E. Main Street, League City, Texas
