Lauren Balletto
Lauren Balletto, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 after a short battle with cancer.
Born on October 23, 1964 in Jacksonville, Illinois to Dennis and Alberta Rohlfing, she lived many places as her father was transferred by his work. Growing up mostly in Bartlesville, Oklahoma she attended Oklahoma University where she achieved a Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance) and a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy). She later became a Certified Hand Therapist and moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she worked and attended Washington University attaining her Master Degree in Occupational Medicine and Ergonomics.
She then moved her family to Tulsa, Oklahoma and ten years ago to Houston. In Houston she worked for TIRR, Christus St. John, and then opened her own business in partnership with U.S. Physical Therapy (Progressive Therapy).
She was a member of Webster Presbyterian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and on the Youth Committee.
She is survived by her sons Marco and Nicholas, her parents Dennis and Alberta Rohlfing and brothers Steve Rohlfing (Yvonne) and Richard Rohlfing (Rebecca).
A memorial service will be held at Webster Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 14 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation in Lauren’s name to Webster Presbyterian Church Youth Ministry or M.D. Anderson for research.
