Larry Jack Steeland
Larry Jack Steeland, of League City, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Webster, Texas at the age of 86. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Clarendon, Arkansas to Jack and Lula Steeland.
As a young man, he “delivered ice” all over the United States, then found his life’s work in diesel and locomotive engines, establishing Power Systems International, Inc., with his wife Judy. His son Michael joined shortly after, helping them to build it into the thriving, family run company it is today.
When he and Judy retired to Arizona, he enjoyed golf, visiting casinos, and hosting his friends and family, always making sure to exceed everyone’s expectations with fun, food, and laughter, but he never enjoyed any of those as much as he enjoyed working.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two younger brothers, Robert and Johnny, and his beloved dog, Pepper.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy, son Michael (Debbie), daughters Jackie (Bob)& Nichole (Bryan), bonus daughter Shannon (Herman), sister Norma, 8 Grandchildren: Valaree (Kevin), Sydnee, Willie (Bobby Jo), Kahn (Kayla), Rhiannon, Sean (Harley), Jaykob (Crystal), and Meagan (Mario); 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 more on the way! He was Uncle Larry to numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Arkansas at a later date.
