Larry Eugene Simmons
Larry Eugene Simmons passed away at home June 21, 2020 in League City, TX at the age of 72. Larry was born August 2, 1947, in Shidler, OK. He was a resident of League City for 7 years and was formerly of Burnet, TX where he loved Lake L.B.J. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and he worked for 30 years for Texaco/Chevron in Big Spring, TX where he and his wife raised their two children.
Larry enjoyed building and taking on home projects. He was an avid Texas Tech football fan who loved nothing more than to watch the games with his son. He loved the lake life, taking his family out on the boat, and making trips to the hill country. He took great pride in his grandchildren and at the end of his days they were what kept him smiling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Gladys Simmons.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 48 years, Carol Simmons; Son, Cody Simmons, wife Kristen; Daughter, Breck Simmons;
Grandchildren: Tyler Simmons, Ashley Simmons, Lauren Simmons, Taylor Simmons, and Leyton Hoffpauir; Sister, Debra Phillips; Brothers: John Don Simmons, and Winfred “Brub” Simmons, wife Linda.

There will be a memorial service to honor Larry’s life at 3p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020 in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.

Carol, I’m sorry to hear about Larry. It was a pleasure to work with Larry and also to get to know him. Larry worked hard and when it was time, he played hard. He loved his family and was ready for the next adventure. Prayers for you and your family.
Dave and I are so very sad about Larry and that he had to suffer as long as he did. He’s at Peace now and watching over his beautiful family.
David will remember Larry and coconut shrimp and the great times at the Lake. I will always remember Larry and our many chats about football and Politics. 😘
