Khiet Thanh Ngo was born in 1968 in Vietnam and rested in God’s hands-on March 12, 2021 in his home in Pearland TX.

Khiet is preceded in death by his mother, Phuong Hoang Pham, and is survived by his wife, Ynhi Tran; son, Tam Duy Ngo; daughter, MinhAnh Ngo; father, Liem Thanh Ngo; sisters: Yen Nhi Hoang Ngo-Hill, and Hanh Nhi Hoang Ngo-Baik; brother, David Quoc Ngo.

Khiet began this life with little more than the loving arms of two parents that would lay down their lives for a chance to see him grow and smile. Losing his brother to the ravages of post-war shortages, he stood strong with his family and father as they set sail on an ocean without safe harbor on the horizon. This courage, this journey without tether, would lead their family on a passage where faith is harvested and transformed into hope. This hope was sponsored in America which became their home and Houston which became the story of their lives. Khiet would experience the struggle and opportunity of hard work on this road to life and love. He found this love of life and a family to call his own with his wife, Ynhi Tran. He would return this gift of salvation to her in a time of fear and confusion in her life. For this, she is eternally in love and grateful for his arms and passion to hold her and protect her in this storm of life.

I was lost and he saved me in my time of fear and faith. In his arms, I got to see the joy of a new father when I gave him his son, Tam. I found the calm of confidence in my husband and the joy of a father again when we held our daughter, Minh Anh, and reveled in her first smile. He was and remains my mooring in this time of life when we surrender all we know and love to the creator. I pray he will watch over us and give us the guidance we yearn for from above with our faith in him. We will gather this faith to hope in the time when I will return to his arms…
