Kenton Dean Anderson

Kenton Dean Anderson, 53, of Pearland, Tx, passed away on January 28th, 2022 surrounded by family after living a full life.

Kent was born on July 19th, 1968 to Dean and Sandy Anderson in West Virgina and then moved to Friendswood, Tx for his childhood. After graduating from Friendswood High school in 1986 with the title “Mr. Mustang”, he went on to study and play football at Stephen F Austin while being involved in the Pike Fraternity. After an injury he transitioned to track and field at San Angelo State earning a scholarship where he graduated with a business degree.

He was a businessman and entrepreneur early on as he started a lawn care business with a friend while in high school. After college graduation he quickly landed his first job at Bebco kicking off a successful career. After years at Bebco Kent continued to show his work ethic by building and running his own business, Dynamic Specialties, for 20+ years. Most recently he was a senior project manager for Audubon.

Kent really was bigger than life itself and a force of nature, determined to provide for his family while always trying to make sure they were smiling. To know Kent was to know his smile and laugh. As well as remember his stories told and feel the joy and energy he left in a room after spending time with him. He was passionate about sports and spent many years coaching his kid’s teams from T-ball to soccer, and many proud years as the Pearland Bucs football coach and little league football president of Pearland. Growing up he created many memories with his brothers and dad out at “The Cabin” which was continued with his own children and grandchildren to spend time together while fishing and hunting. His adventurous spirit was shown by many weekends spent with family in their RV traveling all over Texas. He was also involved in the Lighthouse organization donating his time and skills for the benefit of others. This was telling of Kent as he was a man who would never turn down helping a friend or family from small tasks to large ones.

Anyone who knew Kent knew he was always proud of his children. His four children carry on his legacy of being loyal, showing kindness, and working hard all while enjoying life well, and even being the loudest at a gathering. Recently Kent was proudest of his new title Pawpaw. He even had plans of coaching “Roro’s” soccer team and being a fun and involved grandpa, which he was in the last years.

Kent is preceded in death by his beloved brother Kreg Anderson and father Dean Anderson. He is survived by Amanda Anderson and his children Andrew Dean Anderson with wife Kimber Anderson, Macy Manning Jahns with husband Ty Jahns and their daughters Rowen Rose Jahns and Maren Manning Jahns, Daniel Gage McDonald with fiancé Carlee Haltermann, and William Cole Anderson. As well as his mother Sandy “Nana” Anderson and brothers Jeff and Eric Anderson with their respective families.

The service honoring Kent will be Friday Febuary 4th, 2022 at Crowder Funeral home in Pearland. The family welcomes friends at 12 noon with a Eulogy Service beginning at 1pm. The three eldest children request in lieu of flowers that you donate to a fund for Cole as he will graduate from high school in 2023 and prepare for his future. Please send funds to Amoco Credit Union towards William Cole Anderson in honor of the late Kenton Dean Anderson or venmo @MacyJahns for easy transfer.

  2. Haven’t seen Kent in a long time but my best memory is when he, Thad Roher and Heather Hoff got moved to my computer math class and I so enjoyed having them. Kent would tell me every day how glad he was to be in my glass. Those desks in that room were so small and Kent looked like he was sitting in an elementary desk but he did not care. He came in every day happy with a big grin on his face. He always had to “opine” the first 5 minutes but then we all go to work. I am so sorry we have lost him at such a young age but he will not be forgotten. I guess students sometimes don’t realize how teachers have such great memories of former students even years and years later. My love to all the family. Jackie Scott

  3. I was so glad to have my lasting memory of Kent celebrating the marriage of his son Drew to my niece, Kimber. He was so vibrant and strong and so proud of his son as he spoke during his toast to them. I know he was so happy to welcome Kimber to their family as we are to have Drew be part of ours! His legacy continues on in his beautiful children and grandchildren. May God bless all of you and may you find solace and support from each other. Sending my heartfelt condolences to everyone.

We honestly have no words. When y’all see Sandy give her a hug from us please. Rest In Peace Kent. You will be missed. 😔😢🙏

  9. I had the pleasure of meeting Kent 25 years ago when I met my husband Steve. They had been friends and colleagues. Kent always had a big smile on his face and was the life of the party. I will never forget the time he invited us over when his kids were very young and I was so amazed at the Halloween spook house he had put together in his garage for his kids and their friends. It was definitely over the top, he had some skills with all that electronic and automated PLC driven hardware. He was grilling food for everyone, taking everyone through the spook house, handing out candy and shaking every neighbors hand that stopped by. I will always remember him this way. Until we meet again Kent, may you rest in peace. Sending my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. May God send peace and thoughts of all the good stuff, the good memories and the good times. May God send healing and comfort to you all.

  10. I am truly heartbroken about this shocking news. Kent was one of my best friends – albeit – we were separated due to my time in Afghanistan. I remember Kent as an extremely knowledgeable I&E and electrical engineer. He was great at what he did. But Kent was also a funny and endearing person who cared deeply about people. I will sincerely miss my good friend and I’m sure he’s found his peace with the Lord.
God Bless You Kent! All my best – Joe
