Kenneth “Scott” McNatt, of League City, was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Scott was born in Dallas, Texas on December 12, 1975. He was raised in Garland, Tx and graduated from Garland High School 1994. After high school he moved to College Station where he met Jessica Abbott who would become his best friend, partner in crime, love of his life, and wife of 22 years. In 2002, they moved to League City where they built a beautiful life together and started their family with daughters Taylor in 2004 & Parker in 2009. Scott worked in Marine Service & Sales where he lived out his passion for being on the water. He loved to fish & hunt, and although he loved to go fishing with his girls, he would never miss the chance to go fishing with his nephews or brothers-in-law.  Scott always enjoyed time with his family and truly believed it didn’t take blood to be family. He had an amazing gift of connecting with people. He never met a stranger and always had the ability to make everyone laugh or smile with his infectious, positive personality. He never forgot a name or a face and had a way of making people feel like they were the most important person in the room. Even as he fought through his own battles, Scott would worry more about the struggles that others were facing and was willing to help in any ways that he could.

In March of 2016, by the grace of God, Scott endured 2 liver transplants, due to an autoimmune liver disease. We are grateful for the past 6 years as he lived each day as a gift. Unfortunately, after only a few short years he began to experience liver failure again and knew that another transplant would be needed. Through his pain & suffering he continued to be present in the life of his girls. His family was his whole world!

Scott is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Alma McNatt, his father-in-law Bill Abbott, and his grandparents.

Scott leaves behind a legacy of faith, hope and the ability to find light in the darkest of times. In addition to Jessica and their daughters Taylor (17) and Parker (12), Scott leave behind mother-in-law Mary Abbott & husband Clay Gray; brothers & sisters in law Bill & Sally Abbott, Chris & Laura Goldstraw; nephews Cory & Drew Abbott, Cade, Reid, & Brennen, wife Kendall and great niece Presley Goldstraw; aunt and uncle of Dallas, Kathy and David McNatt as well as many cousins.

Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2pm.
