Kenneth Clifford Underwood Jr.

Kenneth Clifford Underwood Jr. Passed away August 22nd 2020 at the young age of 56. He was born in groves Texas and adopted By Betty Ruth and K.C. Underwood. He grew up in League City and always called it home. He was a electrician for 29 years and was well known and loved by so many people. He quit his 9-5 and went into business for himself creating Abel Electric. They say life is all about the dash in between your birth and your death and Kenny made sure to live that dash to the fullest. He was a car guy always on the hunt for another addition to his collection. Kenny didn’t have friends everyone was his family. He recently discovered his birth family and got to spend some time with his biological mother and brother’s and sister’s. When he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his grandsons showing them how to be men and teaching them to fish and shoot bb guns and ride dirt bikes. They were his best friends after all he was a little kid at heart. He was a family guy family was everything to him. He spent every morning with his buddies at Shipley’s on main Street. He had a routine and always stuck with it. Every night he would enjoy a cup of coffee and his car shows on tv. Anyone who knew Kenny knew he’d give the shirt off his back for anyone. He will be remembered as a caring, thoughtful, funny guy always playing pranks. He’s preceded in death by his parents Betty Ruth and K.C. Underwood and his biological father Robert Lucas and numerous aunt’s uncle’s and other family. He is survived by his biological mother Shirley Sharp of Silsbee. His wife April Underwood of League City. His children Mae Underwood of league city, Cody Bonner of Dickinson. Step children Colin Burden of league city Brandon Burden of Clear Lake. His sister Karen Ackerman of Clear Lake. His brother Richard Capo of Silsbee. His 10 sister’s and 5 brother’s that he just discovered. His grandsons Abel, Julian And Jesse.  Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7th from 6-8pm and the Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, September 8th at 11am. Both will be held at the Crowder Funeral Home at 1645 E Main Street in League City. His final resting place will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. His memory will live on through everyone he ever knew and the countless adventures he was a part of.

  1. Kenny I remember meeting you when we moved in across the street. You were so nice. And you helped us with our brakes on our truck. During Hurricane Ike you came over with the best dear sausage. And the next day DONUTS!! That was great. We are sadden by the hearing of your passing. You will be missed by so many.

  2. Kenny was a friend to everyone. If you ever needed help, he was there. Kenny and Wayne tested my patience many times. Now the best friends are together again. You will truly be missed.
