Kathleen Woodard
Kathleen Woodard passed away May 18th, 2024. She was born on March 10th, 1951 in Pleasant Hill, California to Patrick and Margaret Dougherty.
A devout Catholic, she was the greatest wife and mother anyone could have ever hoped for. The true definition of selfless to anyone that needed her, and despite her size, her truly caring nature commanded respect from all who met her. Her family was her world, and during her time working for the Texas DPS and the Federal Emergency Management Administration she always managed to put her family first, and made everyone she came across feel like they were a part of it too.
She is preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Margaret, her younger sister Susan and her husband Allen Blalock, her brother-in-law Eric Nielson, her brother-in-law Gary Bonds and her 3 older brothers Thomas, Timothy, and John.
Survived by her loving husband Ron, her son Michael, her son Christopher and his wife Kaitlynn, her granddaughter Marlowe, her sisters Betty Jo Bonds and Mary Ann Nielson, and their children Tara, Emily, Jennifer, Matthew and Adam.
Services will be held on Saturday June 1st at 8:30 am at Saint Mary’s of the Expectation Catholic Church, 1612 E Walker St. League City, Texas 77573. If you wish to send flowers please arrange them to be sent to the church before the service. God Bless.
Will miss our extended phone conversations and an occasional visit at each others homes. I remember so well traveling from Omaha to your California home to visit new baby Kathleen. My big sister, Gerry and favorite brother in law Pat were so proud of their girls after losing the little boys. Kathleen was “toe-head” as they would say, with that almost white hair, like brother John who had passed a way before the girls came along. Because the girls were treasured so the love passed onto their families. Kathleen was as loving as Gerry, treasuring her boys beyond measure and what a loving partner in life for her, Ron! God saw to it that she would see her children’s child and know she treasured the days that were. Love you more and more and more dear precious tiny Kathleen. Until we meet again, Rest in Peace, you have deserved it…… Aunt Terri, Uncle Mike and all the Darby family
