Julie A Sills
In memory of Julie A Sills, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at her home in Houston, Texas at the age of 59. She was born on January 18, 1961 in Freeport, Texas to Thomas and Mary Ann Sills. Early on Julie was employed by FedEx and at the end of her employment had moved up to U.S. and International packaging inspection for correct delivery and safety inspections and advisor. A decision to decline a promotion to move to Hawaii was made to pursue other endeavors was made. An opportunity was presented to move to New York City as a sales person in the furniture business was offered. She accepted and did extremely well out selling all sales personnel at her location along with helping others to meet their required quota of sales. She built up a customer base asking only for her and made it a point to go beyond sales and assure proper funding for those who faced delivery obstacles. With the advent of her father becoming ill she made the decision to give up her job and come home and be with her dad and family. Her love for cooking led her to start up a food truck catering business at the early stages of food truck catering. She catered breakfast, lunch, occasionally mid-afternoon delights for at company work breaks and at special events. This started up in Houston, moved to Tennessee with her love for the mountains and back to Houston with the advent of her cancer issues. She loved to fish, hunt and dance mainly doing well in competitions and these endeavors. She is preceded in death by her dad, Thomas D. Sills and her brother David Sills. She is survived by her mother, Mary A. Sills, step-dad Charles Scheffler Jr., brother Derek Sills, Uncle David Sills, Aunt Becca and her most precious of all Tennie, her dog. She has expressed her desire to be cremated and ashes be released at the flower gardens in the Gulf of Mexico. Do the Covid-19 virus there will be no public services. At the end of a most eventful life, she wanted to express her deepest appreciation to the many, many people who helped her along the way. Even though she was unable fulfill her most final wish, she had started to work on creating a foundation aimed at helping cancer patients know where to attain the places and needed help to attain assistance in their fight of cancer. If wanted, people could donate to the American Cancer Society in assisting to this endeavor instead of flower etc.

We are so very sorry to hear of Julie’s passing. We’ll sure miss seeing that smiling face across the street. It’s never easy losing someone you love.
