Juan Puentes, Jr.
Juan Puentes, Jr., 55, a resident of League City, Texas, passed from this life, January 11, 2021 in Galveston, Texas. He was born in Galveston, Texas on September 12, 1965 to proud and loving parents, Juan Puentes, Sr. and Celestina S. Puentes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Puentes Sr. and brother Adan (Pooh Bear) Puentes.
Juan Jr., graduated in 1984 from Dickinson High School. He was a history buff and loved to read. He was also a sci-fi fanatic with Star Trek being his favorite show. He enjoyed watching football with the Minnesota Vikings being his favorite team. Juan Jr. also loved bowling; being a part of 2 teams, Foxes and Livin’ on Spares (Wednesday Fanatics). He was involved with bowling leagues for over 30 years. He enjoyed his long-time career of 33 years with Kroger’s at Clear Lake, where he created a lasting fellowship with his colleagues. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Juan leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Celestina Puentes; sisters, Elida Mares and husband Jose, Sr., Sylvia Paden and husband Roberto, and Delia Hernandez and husband Joel, Sr.; aunt, Cruzita Garza and husband Braulio; nieces and nephews, Korina Gutierrez and husband Daniel, Joel
Hernandez, Jr. and wife Lluvia, Rachel Vasquez, Diana Hernandez, Juan Marcos Hernandez, Jose Mares, Jr., and Marisa Mares; great nieces and nephews, Elena, Lea, Alyssa, Daniel, Joel III, Yahir, and Gabriel; numerous loving cousins as well as many faithful friends and dear colleagues. He will be profoundly missed by all.
Due to Covid-19 no funeral services will be held as this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family asks; if you want to send remembrances, please donate to Diabetes Awareness or the American Heart Association in Juan’s honor.
