Joseph “Joe” Wytovak
Joseph “Joe” Wytovak, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in League City, Texas.
He was born on August 21, 1933 to Joseph and Bessie Wytovak in Galveston, Texas. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former member of the VFW in Dickinson and American Legion #554 in League City. He lived in Texas City for over 60 years formerly from Galveston and he was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in La Marque. He retired as a Mechanic with Smith Douglas and Conhagen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 70 years, Charlene Wytovak, sister Joyce Butler, brother Albert Wytovak and nephew Danny Self. Joe is survived by his son Joseph “Joey” Wytovak (Shirley) and grandchildren Jeremy Wytovak (Vicki), Stephanie Hoover, D.J. Wytovak, Bethany Smith, JC Bertram, Sisily Musser and Jennifer Hartsfield, his niece Roxy Landry (Jon), nephew Doug Self (Debbie), caregivers Dawn McLawchlin and Susan Duvall and other relatives.
A visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm with a Vigil at 5:30pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. A graveside service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson with Msgr James Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Carroll, Dudley Carroll, Tommy Mansfield, Gary Mansfield, Mike Stidham and James Stidham. Honorary Pallbearers are Timmy Alcala, Ty Alcala, Brett McLawchlin, Cole McLawchlin, Travis Stark and Anthony Stark.
Charlene, my love I have missed you very much. Now the time has come for me to by your side again, this time it will be forever.
