Johnny Smith
Johnny Smith
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny Smith, who died unexpectedly in his sleep on March 12, 2025, at age 39.
He is survived by his Mother and Step-father; Linda and James Moore, his grandparents; Clark and Irene Winans, his sisters; Jessica and her husband Patrick Ammons, Alyssa Villarreal, Victoria Villarreal, Amanda Moore, and Ashley Moore. He has countless aunts and uncles who he loved dearly, but Jennifer Winans and Steve Muraco played a special role in his life’s journey. He also leaves behind 15 nephews and nieces.
Johnny was born on November 26, 1985 and always walked to the beat of his own drum. Johnny grew up in Crosby, Texas and graduated from Crosby High School in 2004. He then moved to Texas City and began his life as an adult. He began working at HEB and continued that job until the day he passed, 20 years later. He was a dedicated employee and a hard worker. He enjoyed playing Pokemon Go on his way to and from work and had an extensive Pokemon Card collection that he now passes on to his beloved nephews and nieces. While he enjoyed ICP music and a ‘Juggalo’ lifestyle, Johnny was a kind hearted man who enjoyed a simple life. He loved his dog Butterball and the online community he built.
He will be missed every day and we find joy in knowing his soul is now at peace.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 7311 Bridle Path Dr. Houston, TX 77044. Please join us to celebrate Johnny or send any condolences to the address above.
