John Thomas Collier, 60, of Houston, passed away Friday, August 4, 2016, in Houston. John was born August 12, 1955, in McLennan County, Texas, to George and Carole Collier.  He was a machinist, in the oil industry. His hobbies were playing golf and repairing bicycles.  John was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Carl Wiltrout. John is survived by his mother, Carole Wiltrout of League City; stepmother, Joyce Collier of Georgetown; daughter, Misty Erlund and husband Jess of Kerrville; sister, Marilyn Elizondo of Texas City; and brother, James Collier and wife Regena of League City; granddaughter Hailey Erlund of Kerrville; 5 nieces: Samantha Totty, Amy Collier, Trish Hamilton, Melissa Elizondo, Madeline Wolters; 2 nephews: Patrick Elizondo, Ethan Wolters; and a number of great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2016, at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchcock Texas, with Dr. C. O. Magee officiating. Interment will follow the service.
