John Leason Bishop passed away July 10, 2016 at 81 years old. Mr. Bishop was born Richmond, KY on January 28, 1935. Mr. Bishop moved to Houston when he was 9 years old and became a lifelong resident of Houston. He was a faithful member of Faith Community Church.

Mr. Bishop retired from the U.S. post office after serving the Hobby airport and Clearlake-Nasa Post office area.

Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Neva Bishop; his brother, James Bishop.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Carolee Bishop; sons: Mark Bishop and Scott Bishop; granddaughter, Hala Bishop; nephew, Keith Bishop and niece, Kelly Kuhlman.

There will be a visitation from 5-8pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Crowder Funeral home in Pearland.  A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3pm at Faith Community Church, 2402 E. Broadway St. Pearland 77581.
