Joe A. Rodriguez, Jr.
HITCHCOCK-Mr. Joe A. Rodriguez, Jr. 71, of Hitchcock died Thursday, January 17, 2019.
The service will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. John H. Kappe officiating. Burial will follow with a procession to Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 20, 2019 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Born July 4, 1947 in Houston, Texas, Mr. Rodriguez was a Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Lyondell Petrochemical Refinery after 30 years of service. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in the 3rd degree.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Connie and Joe A. Rodriguez, Sr., and a brother Thomas Rodriguez.
Survivors include his wife, Mary H. Rodriguez; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Earl Branch III of Hitchcock; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Brian Huddleston of Houston; brother, John Paul Rodriguez of Galveston; grandchildren, Brenna Huddleston, Hunter Branch and Claire Huddleston.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Hernandez, Tony Ruiz, Earl Branch Jr, Juan Garcia, Freddy Benavidez and Manuel Escobedo.
Worked with Joe at Lyondell Refinery. He was a hard worker and always willing to do a good job. We had a lot of good times together in the pipe department. Prayers for the family. He will surely be missed. Rest In Peace Joe,

Joe was a cousin of mine. WE grew up together I’m very proud to have had him in our family. He will truly be missed. He always talked about his grandson Hunter. Joe was very proud of his grandson. I know that he will truly miss his grand pa. God bless Mary and all the Rodriguez Family.
