Jodie Ray Tuscana

Jodie Ray Tuscana was a man of few words, with a tough exterior but a gentle heart. He loved his family fiercely and knew above all else the love of Jesus. As I think back to the stories my dad told me of his youth, I am in awe of how God pursued him. God’s love drew my dad out of the shadows and gave him a life of purpose. Perfectly weaved through each and every story, is the miraculous feats of God on his behalf. Every single miracle purposely positioning my father in his calling, as a tent evangelist. What do I remember most about my father? His love and devotion for Jesus. Some fathers teach their children to play baseball but my dad taught my brother and I to love God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. (Matthew 22:37) Jodie Ray Tuscana loved God with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Deborah Jeanne Tuscana and sister, Shirley Ann Tuscana Hammond.

He is survived by his wife Laura E. Tuscana; daughter, Angelina Tuscana; step-daughters, Gala Hestilow and Katrina Vain; son, Troy David Tuscana and wife Tameica; sister, Rita Tuscana Holcombe; brother, Jimmy Floyd Tuscana and wife Vicki; grandchildren, Elisha, Alanna, Emma, and Journey; grandchildren, Joseph Tuscana, Jessa Tuscana, and Levi Wingo; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  2. Jodie was a very devoted friend. Anytime my family needed him he would show up and do way more than was asked of him. The Bible verse that comes to mind is Matthew 5:41. I can hear my dear friend Deborah welcoming him to Heaven with open arms saying, welcome Jodie Ray, I love you. Jodie was a blessing to everyone he came into contact with.

  3. I will miss my hunting and fishing partner but I will see him soon we have been friends for year’s. We had talked about how I was going to study to be a minister and he told me he was going to be a minister also. And the rest is history he was my best friend and he will be greatly missed.
