Joan Whited, 79 of Texas City passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Texas City. She was born April 13, 1934 in Ashland, Illinois to Joseph and Ellen Price.

Joan enjoyed spending time and traveling with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on cruises and trips to Florida. She was famous for her wild theme Christmas gifts and her candy making during the holidays. Her hobby was crocheting gifts for her family and friends.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law; Joseph and Dawned Bulpitt, Fred and Tommie Bulpitt and Lorne Bulpitt; daughter and son-in-law; Debbie and Mike Jones; thirteen grandchildren

Courtney McElroy and Ryan Williams, Gabrielle McElroy, Zachary Bulpitt, Stephanie Bulpitt, Katharine Bulpitt, Jason Bulpitt and Kristen Hargrove, Kyle Bulpitt and Victoria Roberts, Joey Howie, Rachel Bulpitt and Louis Hunt, Nicholas Bulpitt, Kassie Bulpitt, Taylor Jones and Ryan Jones and two great grandchildren Jayden Hunt and Kayden Roberts; sister, Mary Launer and brother, Bill Price and special friend, Tricia Kessler.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
