Joan Parenti

Joan Mary Parenti, of Seabrook, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at her home in Seabrook, Texas at the age of 91.

She was born on June 7, 1933 in College Point, New York to Patrick and Evelyn Markey.

Joan was a Nurse for 50 years. She worked in all aspects of nursing. Her hobbies included baking, crocheting, gardening, and being with all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved being around her “Golden Girls” and all her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, son Robert Quaid, Granddaughter Carin and twelve brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters Therese Story and husband Donald Story, Lorraine Divers, sons Brian Quaid and Bill Parenti. Grandchildren Renee Parenti, Brian Story, Micheal Quaid, Jessica Rodriguez, Brandon Quaid, Michelle Thomasson, Matthew Parenti, Alyssa Lynn, Amanda Torrence, Jason plus an additional 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 2-4:00pm with a Vigil at 3pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.  Then on Saturday, from 6-8:00pm with a Ceremony at 7pm with Pastor Denzil Dodds officiating.

Joan will be interred in Long Island National Cemetery 240 Wellwood Ave. Farmingdale, NY 11735
