  2. I met you, Jewel, back in the early 60’s when I started working at UTMB. You were a kind and beautiful lady inside and out and someone I became very close to and considered a friend. You and Loveless were such an adorable couple and I admired the love you had for each other. You co-hosted my first wedding shower with Jeanne, you always gave me good advice and you were always someone I could turn to.
Jewel, you made the best cheesecake I have ever eaten but I’m sure you heard that from many, many people over the years. Love those memories, Jewel, and will take them with me until we meet again; then we can laugh about those days together.

  3. You and your hubby were my Aunt Cill and Uncle Herbert’s neighbors for years, and y’all use to come hear my husband’s bands dancing the night away. May you be at peace and united with your soul mate once agin.

  6. Karen, I was at Jewel’s services but I didn’t get a chance to speak to you. You, your Mom and Loveless were very special to the Windhams. Today she looked beautiful.
The thing I missed was that perpetual smile. I smiled when I saw you left her birth date out of the obituary. She would be so proud of you. It has been a long, hard time for you all but now they are dancing!

  8. To all family members, I am so sorry to learn about Jewel. It has been many, many years since I saw her but do remember her jovial smile. I am Thad Fenelon’s daughter – a very distant relative. But I do want you to know that my prayers are with you. May your good memories give you joy and peace.
    Love, Kay Storseth
