Jesus “T-shirt Jessie” Gonzales, 87, of La Marque, passed away Thursday June 12, 2019, in La Marque. Jesus was born October 26, 1931, in Lockhart, Texas to Gilberto and Refugio Flores Gonzales.

Jesus was a longshoreman for over ten years and a member of Local Union 20.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Andrew Gonzales, and sister-in-law Mary Gonzales, his sister Mary Bustamante and brother-in-law Gabriel Bustamante, Sr., and brother-in-law Merced Garza, Sr.

Jesus is survived by two daughters: Maria Teresa Wiles of Fresno,Texas and Anna Garcia (Francisco) of La Marque; his siblings: Delores Garza, Alice Rivas (Jesse), Antonio Aguirre (Janie)and five grandchildren: Stephen Salinas, Sr., Alicia Priddy (Joe), Davina Wiles (Xavier Gonzales), Kathleena Wiles, Mario Aragon, Jr.; four great-grandchildren: Stephen Salinas, Jr., Krystal Priddy, Jessica Priddy, Jacob Merrell; his good friend Janie Ochoa; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with a rosary at 6:00pm led by Marcy Compean.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bayou Pines Staff and the Hospice Nurses.
