Janis Myrl Sawyer
Janis Myrl Sawyer, 69, resident of Dickinson, Texas passed peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones and friends. She was born in Texas City, Texas on June 1, 1955 to proud parents John Roy Sawyer and Geneva Odessa Bairrington Sawyer. She was raised and schooled in Galveston County.
She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. Her career was in administration with television and cable.
Janis was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Gayland Sawyer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Jeneva Marie Sawyer; sister, Beverly Jean Baecker & partner J.B. Manley; brothers, Gary Wayne Sawyer and wife Cheryl and Donald Roy Sawyer and wife Sandra; grandchildren, George Mason Sawyer and James Aiden Sawyer; as well as numerous friends and extended family.
In keeping with Janis’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 9th. Please join her family and friends at Daryl’s place beginning at 1:00pm.
Janeva and family, our ❤️ is with you during this sad time. We will miss Janis dearly and will always remember her for all of the help she gave to all of us. She was a kind hearted dedicated teammate. May God be with you on your journey to healing. She was very much loved and definitely will not be forgotten.
