Janet Kaye Thomas

Janet Kaye Thomas, 65, of Texas City passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, in Texas City. Janet was born September 17, 1954 in Texas City, to James and Virginia Linkey.

Janet was a 1973 graduate from Santa Fe High School, retired from Valero in Texas City and a member of Highlands Baptist Church. She had a fierce love for her family, especially her children, and her cats, or “fur babies”, and her miniature dachshund. When she wasn’t spoiling her grandchildren, Janet loved watching soap operas, crocheting, reading Garfield and Archie comics, and Sunday naps.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister: Claudia Blasiar. Janet is survived by her mother Virginia Callier; husband Michael Thomas; three daughters: Kelli Lancaster (Daniel), Kristi Doss and Gena Geis (Stephen); two sons: Joshua Doss and Samuel Thomas (Mariangel); twin sister Janice Cerny; three brothers: James Linkey, Jr., Lynn Blasiar, and Johnny Lee; six grandchildren: Lillith Lancaster, Kevin Pino, Kayla Thomas, Krystal Thomas, Elizabeth Geis and Charlotte Geis.

A visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Friday, May 29, 2020, at James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque.  A service will follow at 3:00pm, at the funeral home, with Pastor Jack Thompson officiating.
