Jane Atwell Mecom entered into heaven on March 2, 2025. She was born Jane Webster on August 7, 1942 in Indianapolis.

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt; Jane is survived by her sons Jason Atwell (Carmen) and Jamie Atwell (Linda), grandchildren Adam, Allie, Ava, Ainsley, Alex, Ian, Ryan & Oliver, sister Marybeth Kazanicka (Vincent), niece Gina Ferragame & nephews Danny and Martin Kazanicka.

Jane graduated from Indiana State University and went on to receive her Master’s degree from the University of Houston. She spent her entire career as a dedicated educator and administrator around the Houston area.

Jane’s remains will rest alongside her late husband Bill Mecom at the Houston National Cemetery.
