James Patrick Clark
James Patrick Clark, passed on May 13, 2019, in Houston at the age of 93. He was born on October 19, 1925, in Hattiesburg MS, to Eugene P and Jessie M Clark.
He was a merchant seaman during WWII, went around the world times. He was drafted in to the Army September 21, 1950. He married Ruth Broxson January 7, 1951. He served overseas in Korea. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, and returned from Korea June 24, 1952. He worked at sales after arriving in Houston in the late 1950’s. James was an avid gardener.
He was Preceded in death by Eugene P Clark-father, Jessie M Clark-mother, Yesleta M Boring-sister, Malcolm E Clark-brother, Jesse A Clark-brother, Charles J Clark-brother, Arnold W Clark-brother, Hermon A Clark-brother, and Emma J Yates-sister
James is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Clark, Tyrone P Clark-son, Halye K Clark and Logan L Clark – grandchildren and his youngest brother Fredrick M Clark. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A small memorial service will be held Sunday May 26, 2019, at noon, 701 N. State Hwy 237, Round Top, TX 78954
