  1. This loss is so sad. I loved Jim as a cousin and friend. He was generous with his time and a confidant who was a wonderful listener. I will miss him.

  2. My prayers and thoughts are with Jim’s daughters, granddaughter and sister. Jim was the best friend a person could ask for. He was like my brother, met Jim 55 years ago in 3rd grade. We grew up together, laughed and got in trouble over the years. Jim could always be counted on when needed. He adored and spoke of his daughters & granddaughter, always spoke w/o the pride & love, as a dad / grandpa will do. I will miss and remember my friend/brother dearly.

  3. Jim was a WONDERFUL man, he had a Heart as big as Texas. I will truly miss him on my birthday this year. He attended every birthday party I’ve had in the past 10 years, whether it was at a restaurant, painting party or even just last year (January 2018) he was on the Coushatta bus with me and my other friends celebrating my birthday. He fit in anywhere with his big loving heart . R.I.P My Friend

  5. My cousin Jim was such a special person. ALWAYS with a smile on his face and ready with a hug. Jim could always be counted on to be there when you needed him. I will miss his BIG smile. I will miss him. However, I have NO doubt in my mind that he is in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. I will miss my sweet cousin Jim.

Chelsea and Janet, I love you girls and I know Dad was very proud of you both. Carry that knowledge with you all the days of your life. I love you both!!

  7. I knew Jim for almost 50 years, having been in high school together, and making liberty with Jim and Jim Secor when they were in the Navy and I in the Marines. Like Rick Austin, we had our adventures together, but I never recall him saying a bad work about anybody. Our one night reunion almost four years ago and the picture I have of five of us together is something I’ll treasure. Difficult to believe
I’ll never hear from him again, but I will see him on the other side. Fair winds and following seas sailor, until we meet again.
