Our father, J. B. McIntyre, joined his heavenly Father on Saturday, July 22, 2017. He was born October 3, 1921 in Rusk, TX to the late Oscar McIntyre and Ella Shaw McIntyre.
- B. is preceded in death by his wife of 74 wonderful years, Ruth McIntyre, his oldest daughter Pamela Binkley, and all his siblings. He is survived by his son Mark and his wife Kay; daughter Marsha and her husband Steve Brookover; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He also loved Steve’s family, including 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Daddy worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an engineer for 44 years and then enjoyed 33 years of retirement. In his life, he enjoyed fishing, golf, going to garage sales, church, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, which changed to Faith Springs Baptist Church, since 1962. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and friend.
The entire family loved him, and in our grief from his loss, we understand that he is rejoicing with his beloved Ruth, family, and many friends in Heaven tonight. We will miss him, but he is still with us in our hearts, and we know we will be with him in Heaven one day. We Love You, Daddy!!
The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Crowder Funeral Home, 111 Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX at 11:00 a.m. on July 25, 2017. Following the service, we will lay our Daddy to rest at Forest Park East Cemetery.
Our love and prayers are with you at this sad time.
J. B. was loved by all his friends and family. He had a wonderful life. He leaves a lot of memories. Love to all the Family
J.B. was my great uncle and even if we were not kin he was one of the kindest most Christian men I have ever known. I never remember a time in fellowship that he wasn’t smiling and an inspiration to all of us. My mother (Mattie Raye) loved J.B. and he loved her. They were quite entertaining picking on each other at every meeting I can remember.
Heaven received a wonderful person Friday morning and I know his family and friends will miss him. But this is not goodbye it is I will see you in the sweet by and by.
