James Arthur Lee Sanders, 74, of Texas City passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in League City.  He was born August 8, 1946 in Daytona Beach, Florida to Arthur Lee and Thelma Sanders.

James worked as a Security Guard and then for the City of Chicago in the Waste Management Department for several years before retiring. He loved playing pool, gambling and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Jack Sanders, JuJu Sanders, Waymon Sanders and Rudy Sanders and his two sisters: Sue Sanders and Dolly Sanders.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Sanders, daughter Bridgette James and special friend Larry Dupont, sons; Tim Sanders (Gus) and Eric Williams (Stephanie), two sisters: Gwen Sanders and Muneerah Sanders  and four brothers: Arnold Sanders, Roy Lee Sanders (Delores), David Sanders,  and Johnny Ashley (Shirley) his grandchildren: Darrell Henson, Jr. (Leticia), Brandon Sanders, Eric Jarrod Williams, Kenyata James (Terrance), Sparkle Menifee (Larry), Ashlynn Sanders, Breauna Soileau (Brennen), Miah Williams and 10 great grandchildren; two aunts: Mattie Sanders-Long and Barbara Sanders-Wholuba and three uncles: Ralph Footman, CJ Footman and James Footman.

A visitation will be from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Don Porter officiating.
