On February 25^th, 2024, Ivan John LaCuesta Persia of Houston, Texas passed away.

Ivan was survived by his wife Donnabel Somollo Persia; Mother Evangeline Persia; his children, Luiza Persia, Tymothy Persia; and siblings Rogeline Abdul-Baki and husband Zenon, Jose Tadeo Persia and wife Griely, Augustus Persia and wife Sherry June, Rogelio Persia Jr., and Doan Augustus Persia. Ivan is preceded in death by Father Rogelio Paciente Persia Sr.

Ivan John LaCuesta Persia was born on March 24^th, 1975 in the Philippines. He graduated from Lambunao Institute of Science and Technology in 1992 and went on to attend College achieving his Associate’s Degree for Marine Engineering.

Ivan married Donnabel Somollo Persia on September 28, 2010 and have been together for 13 years. Separated by thousands of miles, after four years of long distance relationship, they got married. They welcomed their children Tymothy on 2011 and  Luiza on 2017. Growing up, Ivan loved playing basketball and soccer. A family-oriented and loving father, he loves to cook, spend quality time, and take care of his wife, children and friends. He is happy when people like what he cooks and loves to share his ideas about cooking. He loves to watch cooking shows, action, horror movies and listen to music from the 80s and 90s.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held beginning at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 in the Chapel of Crowder Funeral Home located at 2422 E. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
