Henk Roelant

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henk Roelant, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 29, 2024. Born on December 23, 1955, Henk lived a life full of faith, love, and a profound curiosity for the world around him.

Henk is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Roelant; their three cherished children, Rebecca, Justin, and Alden; and six adoring grandchildren. He is also mourned by his brother, Frank, and his mother, Olga, who resides in Belgium.

A devout Christian, Henk’s unrelenting faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was a man of prayer, always seeking to uplift those around him with his kind words and steadfast support. His Bible was never far from reach, and his deep knowledge of scripture inspired countless conversations. Henk had a passion for military history, particularly the Civil War and World War II. He loved immersing himself in research of military strategy and war games. This passion was just one facet of his quirky personality. Known for his easygoing nature, he could strike up a conversation with anyone and always left a lasting impression. A devoted father, Henk was actively engaged in his children’s lives, never missing a soccer game or important event. His unwavering support and genuine interest in their pursuits made him a pillar of strength for his family.  Henk’s legacy of love, faith, and enthusiasm for life will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He was not only a great man, but also a remarkable husband, father, and grandfather whose impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.

A celebration of Henk’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 15th 2024 at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 East Broadway, Pearland TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to helping the victims of Hurricane Helene, honoring Henk’s commitment to helping others.

He will be dearly missed, but we rejoice knowing that he is now celebrating with Jesus and asking all of the many questions he had for Him.
