Harold Petsch Brelsford
Harold Petsch Brelsford, at the age of 72, left this world on June 25, 2016, one hundred and fifty miles off of the coast of Galveston, Texas. He was scuba diving, a passion of his since high school. He left with a smile. He was born on June 29, 1944, to Harold John and Peggy Petsch Brelsford, in Fredericksburg, Texas. He lived there with his Mother and dearly loved grandparents, Alfred and Myra Petsch, until his father returned from World War II. Harold spent his childhood in Houston, Texas where he graduated from St. John’s School, as part of a small, close class. He went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. He was also a proud member of the US Marine Corps. By far, his greatest joy was the birth of his daughter, Edyth Elaine Brelsford. Harold practiced law in Houston for many years until he married Carol Ruzicka, moved to League City, and found himself fully embraced and loved by Carol’s entire family as “one of the crew.” Harold displayed a unique passion for life. He relished the water, car racing, and was an avid Houston and Longhorns sports fan. The world seems a little less bright without Harold – he will be sorely missed. Harold was predeceased by his wife, Carol Ruzicka Brelsford. He is survived by his daughter, Edyth Brelsford and step-children Sara, Joseph and Michael Ruzicka. Harold has two grandsons, Zac Candelaria and James Ruzicka. Harold will be missed by his sisters Dianna Jones, Susie Brelsford and Madge Brelsford; and his brother John and wife Julie, and his nephews Cactus, Jeff and Joe. He also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wed, June 29th, from 5-9PM at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main St, League City, TX 77573. Funeral services will be held on Thu, June 30th, at 2PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 1665 N Llano St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Remembrance gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.

Oh my gosh ,this is such a shock,he is with his mama and all his loved ones. I will always remember Harold and his goodness. What a wonderful person. God be with his family at this time of sorrow . He is with the angels now. His mama and Ethel welcome him into heaven☝☝☝
Harold Brelsford will be dearly missed, as a kid I spent plenty of time knocking on his door so I could visit with him, and he would take time out from what he was working on to visit with me. After my Grandmother (Ethel) had a stroke and I was staying with her, he would always come by and make sure to check on me. He even let me go run with him when I was 18 at the time and thought I was in good shape until my first 3 mile run with him, and although I tried to keep up I couldn’t! He was a great man who took time out for others even when he didn’t have to, and I appreciate that more now than ever knowing that it takes a special quality in a person that not everyone has, but he did!
