I could probably write a book about Greg. We were fellow lieutenants at two different HPD divisions. Greg and I had many deep spiritual conversations and I considered him one of the most grounded people as far as priorities go. I say this because he placed the Lord first in his life, and then family next above everything else. Work followed behind those two more important priorities. None of us know when we will be called to meet the Lord, but I am certain that Greg was prepared. He set the example for so many and I admired him for being who he was.

Our condolences to the family. Greg was a good nan, and I enjoyed working for him while he was Lt in the Burglary and Theft Division. He was always very pleasant and easy going. Greg being an avid Memphis Tigers fan and I (being from KY) a Uk Wildcats fan we occasionally had conversations about our favorite teams. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Greg, has always been a fantastic family friend as he grew up in our Orange Mound community. Also, a very studious student where he graduated from Melrose High school in Memphis, TN. We will all miss seeing the love and his endless attention and joy that he shared with us all while celebrating his life with his wonderful family! May peace and love forever be with his beautiful family and may his loving memory continue to linger on. Amen
I’m sure he is playing his trumpet in Heaven just as he told me he hoped. I’ll miss him.
He was an inspiration to follow the Lord for us all.
Gregory was and is a true testament to what a Godly man and influence was to be. He modeled and taught me what walking with the Lord truly meant. I wished I had gotten to spend more time with him to let him know how much he was truly valued in my life. Now I can walk it out as the Lord is guiding me too and he inspired me to rekindle that desire for my family. I was honored to have known him and have him as accountability in my life. I pray to be even half the man I knew and met. I’ll truly miss you until we meet again Greg. I thank the lord for placing you in my life and I love you as a brother in Christ. You’ve done more for me and my family than you will ever know. You’ve saved my marriage and I thank you for that brother. Love you and will miss you dearly.
Bless are those who mourn for God will comfort them. My condolences goes out to this family. Praying that God will strengthen this family as time goes by. Because he cares for u. Melrose Class of “78” Everyone luv Greg he will be truly miss.

Greg and Brenda met me on a Sunday when I was visiting church and were so kind to me and even had me out for dinner later that week before I left. In just a short time I felt I had made true friends. Incredibly sad that Greg has passed but thankful that I know he knows his saviour. Prayers to Brenda and all the family!

Greg was a good friend and classmate since junior high school, high school and we even attended the same undergraduate university. We have lost a great statesman, a gentleman and a friend. We often communicated over the years. My prayers go up for his soul and his family.
Greg was my high school classmate! What I respected most about him was that he was a “gentleman”. Also, his energy very was calm and positive. My heartfelt condolences are extended to his wife and family. He was a blessing to our world and I am honored to have met him along life’s journey!

Brother Huntsman, you are truly going to be missed. I remember you were always very kind, genuine, and sincere with me. I can also remember us running together at Memorial Park. I can spend a lot of time talking about your fantastic qualities and exemplary lifestyle that you displayed such as loving God, being a great family and a dutiful public servant as a police officer for many years. Nevertheless, I prefer to keep it simple just to let your family know and I think you knew too of how much we loved and appreciated you brother and yes I wish we could have had more time to run at Memorial Park and more discussions about the meaning of life. May God take care of your soul and family, but may your spirit live on forever my friend. May you rest in God’s Peace and Power! Huntsman Family do your best to support and love each other and know that Brother Greg Huntsman’s spirit is going to be all around you now.
Mr. Huntsman has been my neighbor for the past 3 years. Whenever he would see me outside working in my yard or playing with the kids he would stop and say hi. He was a great Godly man who was so patient with me when I would spill all of my life’s frustration on him. I am not sure if I ever told him, but I had dubbed him as my back up dad. He gave me advice in the same manner as my own dad did. I am so blessed that God allowed him to pour Godly advice into my life. I look forward to seeing him one day.
My sincere condolences to all family and friends. He will be missed but will always be in our hearts.
My deepest condolences to the Huntsman family. Lt Huntsman was always positive. He always spoke highly of his children and how proud he was of his family. May God be with you all during this very difficulty time.

Greg was a real gentleman. It was my honor to share the titles of Most Ladylike and Most Gentlemanlike with Greg in high school. I will remember Greg as being funny, and a great conversationalist. But most of all a true Christian and a great family man. I was very impressed with how he enjoyed talking about his beautiful wife and children. He had so much love and pride for them. He will truly be missed and my prayers are with his family and those who knew and loved him.
Rest In Love
