What a wonderful childhood buddy. We had so much fun…& so many giggles. I don’t know how we escaped so much trouble from our giggling, but all seemed to overlook it. Just looking at each other could make us begin giggling.
MYF nites were so much fun. We often went to the drive-in in LaPorte after our MYF meeting. Saw so many other kids there.
I have to write about our church experiences. My aunt, Sally Woodard, & I & Glenda & her mom, Iva, sat together in church. After many Sundays of our giggling, Sally & Iva decided they better split up the girls. So, Iva & Glenda moved nearer the front on the opposite side, while Sally & I stayed on the left side, nearer the back. That was not a big help because Glenda would turn around to look at me & the giggling would begin. After awhile, Iva & Sally gave up. Through all this, they never got on to us about it. I loved both of them….& I loved Glenda.
Friends like Glenda are hard to forget. We both experienced the wonderful small town blessings of Seabrook, Texas. How lucky we were!!!
R.I.P., Glenda. my friend.
She was my wonderful friend and sister. We had so much fun together. What happens in the Cadillac stays in the Cadillac. It was such a joy having her in my life. God bless all of you and our prayers are with the whole family.
Love,
Janelle Good all and Abbie and Pam Nickerson
Our sweet Aunt will forever be missed. We were so fortunate to have you in our lives.
Glenda was such a sweet and caring lady. She was so sweet to my Mom. My mother loved her like a sister. I will never forget how good she was to her. May God bless Glenda’s family and bring them peace. I fully believe she has joined my other in heaven.
Glenda and I were friends throughout junior high and high school, living a few blocks apart in Old Seabrook. She was full of fun and could out-giggle anyone! Her poor mother was very tolerant of silly girls. Our last excellent adventure together was to explore some of the underground bunkers in Galveston. Due to my getting injured, she had to drive my mother’s car back to Seabrook. I’ll never forget that incident or Glenda, who was always kind and caring. My sincere sympathies to her family.
Sorry to hear about this…she was a great lady…..RIP Glenda…Jake loves you!🐶
