George Richard Westerlage
George Richard Westerlage, 84, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away at his home, January 21, 2014. George was born February 27, 1929 to George R. and Nora Westerlage in Galveston, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Dickinson Volunteer Fire Department. George retired from Monsanto as a Transportation Analyst. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Richard Westerlage.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ethel Chollett Westerlage; his daughter, Karen Hadaway and her husband, Troy; Sons, Mark Westerlage and his wife, Alicia, and Gary Westerlage and his wife, Carolyn; brother, Louis Westerlage; grandchildren, Christie Miller (Josh), Danielle Magliolo (Travis), Shane Feliz, Hannah Westerlage, Laura Westerlage, Kelli Westerlage, Catherine Westerlage, and Matthew Westerlage; great grandchildren, Maxwell and Mallory Magliolo.
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas. A service will be held his honor Monday, January 27, 2014, 10:30 a.m., Faith Lutheran Church, Dickinson, Texas with committal service following at Galveston Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are James Chollett, Tracy Chollett, Shane Feliz, Troy Hadaway, Travis Magliolo, and Dr. Josh Miller.
